Dubai or Dubayy is one of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates on the Arabian Peninsula, the emirate’s main city is sometimes called
“Dubai City” to distinguish it from the emirate.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister and Vice-President of the United Arab Emirates is the ruler of Dubai.
Dubai is the second largest emirate in the federation after Abu Dhabi. The Emirate of Dubai is located on the Persian Gulf, outhwest of Sharjah and northeast of Abu Dhabi.
